Jenny Dürst Wins Her First W35 Title – A Breakthrough Victory in Florida
Orlando, Florida – May 2025.
Swiss tennis player Jenny Dürst has reached a new career milestone: she claimed her first ITF W35 singles title in Orlando. More than just a trophy, this win marks a powerful symbol of personal growth, independence, and perseverance.
Travelling solo to Florida — without coach or team — Jenny managed every detail herself: logistics, match preparation, recovery, and mindset. What awaited her were not only tough matches but also extreme conditions: daily temperatures over 36°C, high humidity, and frequent “heat suspensions.” Yet, Jenny stayed focused and embraced the challenge.
More than a tournament – A test of character
One of the most impressive moments came during her quarterfinal match. Down 1-4 and struggling to find rhythm, she found a way to shift gears and turn the match around, winning 7-5, 6-1. It was a textbook example of mental resilience and determination.
The semifinal against her doubles partner added emotional complexity, but Jenny handled the situation with maturity, closing out the match 6-3, 6-3. The duo had spontaneously entered the doubles draw and, to their surprise, reached the final. Although they were defeated by a strong pair of twins, reaching the final was a bonus highlight of the week.

A calm mind in the singles final
In Sunday’s singles final, Jenny faced a talented 17-year-old American opponent. They even warmed up together — unusual in professional tennis. Jenny started off slowly, missing several opportunities, but still managed to take the first set 6-4. She kept her composure in the second, sealing the victory with another 6-4 set.
Remarkably, she felt no nerves throughout the match. That inner calm might have made all the difference.
A title with special meaning
“This week, I did everything on my own,” Jenny reflected afterward. “I stayed motivated, believed in myself, and pushed through—even when things got tough.”
As her athlete management team, we couldn’t be prouder. Jenny’s performance in Florida is proof that talent, mental maturity, and self-discipline are a powerful combination. This W35 title is a major step in her journey — and we’re confident there’s more to come.
Congratulations, Jenny – we’re inspired and excited for what’s next!
